Week 2 Challenges (May 8 - 14)

Doesn’t matter how many miles you log, just that you reach the required elevation gain. All challenges are FREE

500′ gain road run – Suggested route:  Start at Jr Service League Park and head up Redlands Parkway to Southcamp and keep going!

1000′ gain trail run – Suggested route: Serpents Trail, Pollock Bench Trail, Riggs Hil

1,500′ road bike – Suggested rout: The Monument of course! Or Little Park Rd

1,000′ mountain bike: Suggested route? – Lunch Loops or Kokopelli

Week 3 Challenges (May 15 - 21)

Run or bike your favorite route! Just put in the miles!

10k Road Run: Cost FREE

10k Trail Run: Cost FREE

35 Mile Road Ride: Cost FREE

18 Mile Moutain Bike Ride: Cost FREE

Week 4 Challenges (May 22 - 28)

Time to “race”! You can do loops around your neighborhood or your favorite out and back. The idea is to go as fast as you can while still being safe and following all traffic laws.

5 Mile Time Trial Road Run: Cost FREE

5 Mile Time Trial Trail Run: Cost FREE

15 Mile Time Trail Road Ride: Cost FREE

10 Mile Time Trail Moutain Bike Ride: Cost FREE

Bonus: May 29-31 (Only 3 days to complete!)

  • Complete a run/bike combo of any length in one workout
    • Run and then bike, or bike and then run. You pick the length of each, but do them back to back.
    • Virtual result combines run & bike times automatically
  • Create a picture with your gps tracker, post on social media with hashtag
    • Calling all creative minds! Lets see what you can “draw” with your gps tracker!
  • Have an Epic Day!
    • 20+ miles running or 50+ miles biking.

Weekly Virtual Races through the month of May
  • The more races completed each week the more entries into drawing. Earn up to 4 drawing entries each week.
  • Required: Results submitted to IYR for each challenge per week for entry into drawing
  • Optional: Join Strava Club for “Elevation Gain” challenge for additional entry into drawing https://www.strava.com/clubs/MADness
  • Optional: Hashtag #VirtualMADMay on Facebook or Instagram for additional entry into drawing

How to Post Your Race Results

Results for each week must be posted by 11:59 pm on each Thursay, May 7, 14, 21, 28, and the 31st for the Bonus Days.
  1. Click on this link – Post Results Here (Make sure you are signed in with the e-mail you registered with.)
  2. Select the race you are posting results for.
  3. Find your name in the list. (Or search for it in the search bar.)
  4. Click on the “Update Time” button at the end of the row next to your name.
  5. Enter the “hours”, “minutes”, and “seconds” and the click on “Save Your Time”.
  6. Refresh your browser. Your time should appear next to the “update time” button.

Rules

  1. With respect to the worldwide COVID concerns, this weekly challenge can be completed anywhere you are (where you live) – please limit travel across counties / states / countries!
  2. Group running/riding is strongly discouraged, unless your “group” lives in the same household. Please respect social distancing directives.
  3. Results submitted to IYR for each challenge must be submitted by closing date at 11:59pm to be entered for the drawing. (Instructions below.)
  4. Email us when you subscribe for the Strava Club (registration@madracingcolorado.com) for an entry for whichever week you desire to be entered for.
  5. Hashtag #VirtualMADMay (Facebook or Instagram) for additional entry to the drawing for that week. There are a lot of moving pieces to keep track of so please email us to give us an heads up if you want these photos to be considered. MUST REGISTER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE DRAWING
